Pontus obviously knows what he’s doing as his Dad started what is now Betsson in the sixties selling slot machines to bars.
What makes them unique is a sportsbook which EVO doesn’t have. It’s lower margin than the gaming operations, but maybe a better market opportunity. Online sports betting has exploded in the U.S. and more people than ever across the world are watching sports. If they watch, they’ll bet. These countries may frown upon it but they need the tax revenues from sports gambling so they don’t want to kill the golden goose.
Have been holding this stock for a long time. A gambling friend talked about it over 5 years ago. Two downsides:
1 my initial position was too small
2 my wife doesn't like the gambling position
Frame it to her as not a gambling position but as a capital moving from gamblers to you- someone who will do more good with the money.
